TWLOHA Upcoming Conference

For those of you that live in Orlando, FL. This is one event you don’t want to miss!!

From the TWLOHA site:

This two day intensive workshop is an effort to begin a conversation about issues that are often left in the dark. We aim to battle stigmas and shame with honesty and compassion. Through the lens of community and brokenness, in a discussion led by professional counselors, attendees will gain an in-depth understanding of depression, anxiety, addiction, eating disorders, self-injury, and suicide. We explore what is behind these struggles, what drives them, what recovery looks like, and how we can make a difference. Each of us has a different story, and this conference is a place where we can, not only learn from a licensed professional, but also from each other. We’re not just talking about community; we’re building it along the way. Our hope is that you leave encouraged, inspired, and informed.

This is our attempt to meet people where they are. If you have more questions or you’re interested in bringing MOVE to your area, please email move@twloha.com.

Casting Crowns Certifies RIAA Gold In Four Weeks

casting-crowns

Today, the blockbuster fourth studio album, Until The Whole World Hears from GRAMMY, AMA and five-time Dove Award-winning “Group of the Year,” Casting Crowns (Beach Street/Reunion Records), reaches RIAA Gold status, only four weeks after the Nov. 17 release. This certification, signifying U.S. album shipments exceeding 500,000 units, marks the fastest-selling Casting Crowns album in its unparalleled six-year career.

With its sales continuing to demonstrate an upward trend, Casting Crowns is again named Billboard’s Top Christian Album Artist for 2009, for a third consecutive year. The repeated placement at No.1 on the year-end Christian/Gospel chart (12/31/09) solidifies Casting Crowns as the top-selling act in Christian music since 2007.

Selling 167,000 first-week copies, the historical debut of Until The Whole World Hears set a sales record for the group as the highest debuting Christian Music artist in SoundScan history (week ending 11/22/09). The album released as the third strongest album debut in the country on Billboard’s Top 200 chart behind John Mayer and Norah Jones. With 44, 845 units sold this week, Until The Whole World Hears is No.1 for a fourth week on Nielsen SoundScan Current Contemporary Christian Album chart. At radio, the title track claimed a third week at No. 1 on Billboard’s AC-Monitored chart, marking a ninth career chart-topping song for Casting Crowns.

Winter Wonder Slam Tour

The following blog was recently posted on RelientK.com

Dear RK fans,

Due to circumstances beyond any of our control, Matthew Thiessen needed to
leave the Winter Wonder Slam last evening on a red eye flight to Canton. It
is with great sadness to report that Matt’s mother suffered a severe heart
attack Monday evening. Matt flew home to be with his family and at his
mother’s side as she undergoes quadruple bypass surgery. We truly
appreciate your understanding and prayers during this highly emotional time.

In an effort to make most of this situation, the remaining members of
Relient K (Ethan, John and Jon) will stay out for the last four (4) shows
and play host to Tim Skipper of House of Heroes as they put together a
medley of Holiday music and fan favorites. As an effort to make the shows
special, we will host a contest to have a fan club member join the guys on
stage to perform ‘Sadie Hawkins Dance’!

Again, we thank you for your prayers and wish you joy in your hearts during
the Christmas season.

Best,

Kevin Spellman
Vector Management
